Stretch. Reflect. Act.

Super Qi Summit

Jun 3, 2015

We all need to “recharge” periodically. I took the opportunity to do that Memorial weekend during the “Super Qi Summit” held at the Omega Institute in New York. Nine Qigong and Tai Chi masters openly shared their gifts. The energy among us was palpable. Community was created.

We all need to “recharge” periodically. I took the opportunity to do that Memorial weekend during the “Super Qi Summit” held at the Omega Institute in New York. Nine Qigong and Tai Chi masters led interactive sessions which included Qigong moving and breathing exercises, sound vibration healing, meditation and Tai Chi. These amazing men and women were very giving and humble.

Of the 150 of us in attendance, four or five were new to Qigong; a couple of them were seeking healing for ailments that allopathic medicine could not help. The rest of us were Qigong and/or Tai Chi practitioners or teachers. Our combined energy was palpable!

Sensations are magnified and good works are multiplied when a group of like-minded people with common goals comes together. “Community” is created. Community can emerge through intentional connections – a neighborhood allotment, a book club, a Tai Chi class, a church group – and by chance, like when the lights go out in a restaurant or when people come together after a disaster, such as 9/11.

Where do you find community? How do your communities influence your life? In what ways do you give back? What about our global community? What impact are you having on it?

Good Qi,

"I love the workshops and rituals! Great opportunities to join with like-minded people.  Nacy gently leads us through practices and rituals that connect us to Source while honoring our own unique expressions of the Divine."
